Alice F. Stewart World War I scrapbook, 1915-1919.

The collection consists of a scrapbook of Alice F. Stewart regarding her service as a nurse in France during World War I from 1915-1919. The scrapbook contains photographs (with descriptive notes), postcards, farewell letters from soldiers leaving the hospital, and sketches. The original photographs depict patients and hospital staff at work and play at the Arc-en-Barrois Hospital (Haute Marne, France) and local people and scenery. The scrapbook also includes photographs from visits to Switzerland and Algiers; Stewart's home town of Milford, Ohio; Augusta, Georgia; and a 1925 European tour.
